The Greenbank RSL Sub-Branch Men’s Shed is a free shed to Veterans and local community with no annual fees.
The Shed is located at 3/15 Corporate Place, Hillcrest adjacent to the Services Club.
The modern Men’s Shed is an updated version of the shed in the backyard that has long been a part of Australian culture.
So, what is special about Men’s Shed? Most men have learned from our culture that they don’t talk about feelings and emotions. There has been little encouragement for men to take an interest in their own health and well-being. Unlike women, most men are reluctant to talk about their emotions and that means that they usually don’t ask for help.
The Greenbank RSL Sub-Branch Men’s Shed was established in an attempt to address and deal with these and other issues related to men’s health and welfare. The overwhelming response that we have received to date has proven the need for and the benefit to our community of the initiative.
Activities include woodwork, leatherwork, photography, discussion and photography classes. Activities are open to members of Greenbank Services Club, Sub-Branch and the local community and provided free of charge.
Join the Greenbank RSL Womens Auxiliary if you haven’t been a member of the Defence Force, you can still volunteer to help our Defence family through RSL Queensland’s Auxiliary groups.
The word ‘auxiliary’ means extra power or resource – and there’s no doubt our RSL Women’s Auxiliary are a major part of our welfare of our serving and ex-service personnel.
The Greenbank RSL Women’s Auxiliary was initially established in 1988. The aim of the Auxiliary is to fully support the Greenbank RSL Sub-Branch in its endeavours to continue to contribute to the veterans, ex-service members and the general community in every way possible, in keeping with charter of the Returned and Services League of Australia.
The Women’s Auxiliary meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 9am. New members are always welcome.
Drop down to a meeting or contact the Sub-Branch for further details.

Strategic Plan
Men's Shed
Our brave soldiers are the guardians of our freedom and safety. They risk their lives daily to protect our nation from harm, and it is our responsibility to show them gratitude and appreciation for their unwavering commitment. It is our duty to support them and ensure that they have the resources they need to continue their noble mission. Every day, our soldiers make sacrifices that many of us will never fully comprehend, and this is why it is so important that we honour them and never forget their bravery. We must never take our freedom for granted and always remember that it has been sustained by the selflessness of countless soldiers. So, let us pay tribute to our soldiers every day, and let them know that we are grateful for their service and sacrifice.
